Abstract :
The quality of ultrasound image is generally corrupted by speckle noise which reduces the contrast and details of images. But the effective method for speckle removal without blurring edge has been still a challenging point. The Euler´s elastic model has the ability to ensure the continuity of isolux corrupted by noise in despeckling. In this paper, to overcome these problems, the adaptive speckle removal algorithm based on Euler´s elastic model (ASREEM) is proposed. The experimental results show that the proposed approach can achieve a better trade-off between preserving small structures and speckle removal than conventional methods.
