Abstract
Foundations and consequences of the emerging trend for collaborative learning are introduced. A platform for learning communities is presented that fosters knowledge exchange among members of a learning team. Learning is built upon collective knowledge and tool support for problem solving, thus following constructivistic concepts and case solving approaches.
