Abstract :
Free Viewpoint Video (FVV) and 3D Video develop a lot recent years, and bring so much great visual experience to the audiences. The key technology of them - Virtual View Synthesis attracts much attention from the researchers all around the world. Depth Image Based Rendering is one of the most widely used methods. In this article, we proposed a new method. First the foreground and background are separated after the basic rendering based on the depth value of every pixel. Then the holes of the background are corroded to decrease the holes area. Finally synthesize the two processed picture to generate the virtual view picture. The experimental results show that the proposed method could generate the virtual view with high image quality.
