Abstract :
Visible light communication (VLC) is a technology that uses the light emitting diode (LED) to enable communication. We present a turbo code-cyclic shift keying (CSK)-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) block diagram, and apply space-time block code (STBC) in order to improve performance. To test the performance improvement from using STBC, we draw a comparison between an STBC-OFDM system and an OFDM system. Also, in order to compare performance from the position of the receiver, this paper analyzes the channel matrix. We compare performance according to the code rate of the turbo code and the type of Color Shift Keying (CSK). Simulation results, which compare signal-to-noise ratio and bit error rate, are presented. As a result, the nearer the transmitter and receiver, the greater the performance improvement. 4-CSK better than 8-CSK, also, if applying STBC, performance is even more excellent.
