Abstract :
A beam with an average power up to 500 kW is extracted from a vacuum volume of an accelerator through a system of foil-closed windows used alternately. In each window the beam scans a rectangular area 2500 × 40 mm in size. The ANSYS code was used to study temperature fluctuations of the foil and foil-supporting grid heated with the beam.
