Abstract :
The selected waveform for an automotive radar needs to be able to satisfy functional requirements such as the ability to resolve multiple targets in range and velocity simultaneously and unambiguously while keeping the measurement cycle time and transmitted power as low as possible. This paper analyzes the main waveforms used in automotive radars and presents a method for constructing the range-Doppler map. Simulations are performed using the rapid chirps waveform.
