Abstract :
With their recent extensions, Petri Net models can be used both for the performance analysis and model checking of complex algorithms. However, the performance analysis of communication networks and algorithms is much easier with Queueing Networks. In order to simplify the process of combining different models, as well as analyzing performance falloffs, the model world of hybrid networks and a simulator adopting them have been proposed. This paper presents the simulator´s functionalities for modelling with queueing networks while also providing a short theoretical background in queueing theory.
