Abstract :
A new control algorithm which based on PID algorithm was proposed for the smart car control system. The parameters of the algorithm were variable. The algorithm had adaptable function and path memory ability. The core control unit of the system is MC9S12DG128B by Freescale Company. Infrared ray sensors are used to distinguish the black line from the white race road, and check the smart car whether departure from the race road. The system has good dynamic property in the running process of smart car. The experiment proves that the algorithm gives a good control performance and has a high reference value for further application.
