Abstract :
In recent decades, telecommunication technologies have advanced rapidly due to the worldwide demand for better services, faster accesses, large volume and ample features. Adequate measure of the complex, distributed and large scaled telecommunication systems hence becomes a great challenge to the measurement theory and practices. We present here an advanced test system design technique to develop the end-to-end effective measurement/testing systems. The methodology is based on the classical statistical discipline together with the system engineering theory. Using the design technique allows us to build an effective testing system in a very short time period and at quite low cost. The effective testing system is used to systematically measure the performance and behavior of a most advanced telecommunication system. As the results, the fault discovery rate has been increased significantly and deep hidden problems have been discovered in the very early system testing stage.
