  • Abstract
With the automatic generation technology of computer animation and the description of scene with the linear octree, a method of path searching for 3D virtual flying characters and path optimization by interpolation of key points is advanced. What is more, the characters´ pose can be controlled while flying. The methods can provide more reasonable path for flying characters and the path has a certain optimal under the restrained condition of meeting character motion. The flying characters´ pose can be well controlled with the method of attitude adjustment. The satisfied effect of animation can be obtained by using those methods. Therefore, they present a certain value in application.
