Abstract :
A simple technique based on the analysis of thick wire elements is applied to the characterization of complex antennas exhibiting rotational symmetry. Results show that the technique allows the accurate analysis of complex antennas, of thick radius above 0.1/spl lambda/, composed of cylindrical and conical elements. The value of the derived approach is that it can replace otherwise time consuming numerical techniques based on surface discretization, while achieving a similar degree of accuracy.
