Abstract :
Computer graphic tools are presented which will enable a clinical physician to visualize, manipulate, and quantitate the three-dimensional internal structures of patients. Objects and their surfaces in digitized three-dimensional space are defined and the state of the art in three-dimensional boundary tracking is described. Generalizations, conjectures, and open problems are discussed
