Abstract
This paper deals with an original concept in the monitoring of a DC motor process. The method is based on parameter identification using partial time moments method. Identification calculations achieved on sets of sampled measurements provide values of the process physical parameters which give signals representative of the process behaviour. The fault identification method is fulfilled by applying the statistical sequential hypothesis tests of Wald tracking the mean value of the parameters
