Abstract :
Node synchronization is the process of finding codeword boundaries of convolutional code sequence, and syndrome-based method is an efficient algorithm for node synchronization even at low Eb/N0. In this paper, a method derived from syndrome-based node synchronization is proposed, which is applied for phase ambiguity resolution of DVB-S systems. The method proposed can detect and correct plusmnpi/2 phase ambiguity of pi/4-QPSK modulation. Performance simulation and implement results show that it works properly with Eb/N0 below to 6 dB or less.
