Abstract
The wide application of remote education is recognized which includes video meeting, multimedia teaching, remote simulation experiment and remote lab etc. The new generation Microsoft software platform - MS.NET presents a new innovation for developing a networked virtual instrument lab. This paper introduces developing a virtual instrument toolkit based on a VS.NET platform in which the hierarchy of the toolkit and the development method, based on a component mode, is emphasized. Further, the establishment of a networked virtual lab for vibration measuring and control is discussed, and a distributed construction of the developed networked virtual lab, based on the .NET remoting technique, is presented. The employed technique of .NET and virtual instrument provide a successful scheme to design, develop and deploy a networked remote educational system of measuring instruments.
