Abstract
The recent years it is stressed an increased interest in developing models of swimmers at low-Reynolds number. The interest ranges from biological to nanotechnology applications. This article reviews the relate researches and investigates the accuracy of hydrodynamic analysis methods which are used for swimming flagella. There are several different swimming patterns and structures in microorganisms and we focus on helical shape of flagellum. By reviewing the related researches, we discuss several application examples based on these methods.
