Abstract
Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) is a popular drive element in the modern industry for its superior velocity-modulating ability. The conventional Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) method is chosen in variable velocity drive. A switching control is designed to regulate the velocity of an elevator door PMSM rapidly and precisely. In order to implement the direct drive without any damage to the control performance, such as door collision, the control algorithm is digitalized in a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) to meet the variable velocity drive demand. The experimental results on the door motor of elevator validate this control scheme.
