Abstract :
We report two new methods of detecting continuous-wave terahertz radiation. One is using an enhanced pyroelectric array camera (Pyrocam III, Spiricon) to capture real-time transmission or reflection imaging. It has the advantages of high speed, broad imaging range and high definition. The other is using a pyroelectric passive infrared sensor (RE200B, Nicera) to detecting the luminous intensity of the modulated continuous- wave terahertz radiation with the advantages of low price and high definition. Though the two methods have differences, both methods use pyroelectric component as a core part. At last we had some experiments on continuous-wave terahertz radiation detecting. These results demonstrate that pyroelectric component has huge foreground about terahertz detecting area.
