Abstract :
Several authors have reported that the motion of coronary bifurcations closely follows the underlying epicardial motion and thus can reveal abnormalities of the cardiac contraction. The authors present a method to assess this motion from images acquired daily in biplane cineangiography i.e. without any calibration procedure or limited camera positioning that would disturb the clinical investigation. The method should be particularly useful in clinical applications since it does not need any special procedure during the X-ray examination.<>
