Abstract :
A new kind of waveguide (WG) is presented in this article. The new WG is structured in a metal rectangular WG loaded with a substrate which partly is covered by a short circuit metal patch. The propagation characteristics and electric field Ey´s numerical distribution in the transverse section of its dominating mode and high order modes are presented by a novel 2D_FDTD scheme. As an application of the new WG a filter is designed and its results of numerical simulation are presented.
