Abstract :
Presents a study of the nonlinear dynamics of ventricular repolarization in healthy subjects and in patients after myocardial infarction based on return map and self-similarity analysis. Additionally heart rate variability (HRV) was assessed in each subject. From the first return map correlation coefficient (rRM) was calculated as quantitative measure of complexity of dynamics. From self-similarity analysis Hausdorff fractal dimension (D) and coefficient of similarity slope (R[h]) were measured. In healthy subjects the dynamics of ventricular repolarization was found less complex than RR-interval variation dynamics. In patients after myocardial infarction RT dynamics became more complex than in healthy controls and than the dynamics of reduced HRV.<>
