Abstract :
A first-order language and an algebra for its interpretation are presented. This calculus is in tandem with that of domain relational calculus and can serve as the foundation of user-oriented languages for mathematical programming problems which are integrated with database languages. An example of such a language is SQLMP. It is envisioned that this calculus will be used for the implementation of SQLMP by linking an existing database engine to an existing optimizer rather than by the development of a new system
