Abstract
During a recently completed study, the author found that a large number of the software quality assurance organizations which were interviewed had little understanding of the approach to be used in selecting a quality assurance methodology. He presents a proposed approach for evaluating and selecting such a methodology. This approach provides a set of quantitative (objective) results that can be used in conjunction with qualitative (subjective) results to evaluate the suitability of a quality methodology for use on a software project
