  • Abstract
The article presents the temporal knowledge representation and its organization in a case-based reasoning system called MNAOMIA. The general case-based reasoning methodology is grounded on a model of reasoning such that memory, learning and reasoning are inseparable. This particular focus forces pertinent knowledge representation and organization in the system memory. The main aspects of the temporal dimension of knowledge representation and organization of MNAOMIA are detailed, such as: the temporal representation language for the cases, the automatic learning of trends from the cases during the reasoning process, and the organization of the memory in generalization-based hierarchies of trends under which the cases are indexed
