Abstract :
A potassium-ion-selective sensor based on valinomycin-doped polyimide film is reported. Different substrates were used to study the response of the potassium-ion-sensing polyimide membrane. The preliminary results obtained with a silver substrate demonstrate the feasibility of using polyimide as a matrix support membrane for ion-selective sensors. Poor results were observed with other substrates. The sources for the sub-Nernstian response are under investigation
