Abstract :
Particle swarm optimization algorithm is employed to solve the vehicle scheduling problem in logistics distribution. According to the limitation of vehicle capability and the route in vehicle scheduling, a new extension-coded particle swarm optimization algorithm which is based on the theory of extension is proposed to solve this problem better .The new algorithm is used to optimize the vehicle routing problems. Compared with the genetic algorithm and the general particle swarm algorithm, the computational results show that the new algorithm can effectively optimize the vehicle scheduling problem in logistics distribution.
