  • Abstract
General-purpose carbon fiber, a mixture of acrylic liquid and silver paste, self-made silver paste filaments, a glass micropipette and a novel fabrication method have been used to fabricate a carbon-fiber electrode for voltammetric measurements. The method is simple and inexpensive. An electrochemical treatment process using low pH and anodic pretreatment conditions is found to lower the ascorbic acid (AA) sensitivity and enhance the dopamine selectivity in the presence of AA effectively. The results of electrode performance tests, using differential normal pulse voltammetry and an interference free instrument, are presented
