Abstract :
Applying the satellite TDMA system to high-speed data communication services has a number of advantages. However, there are some problems in providing these services through fixed satellite TDMA channel capacities because the traffic of the high-speed data communications is very bursty and varied. In order to solve these problems, we have studied a satellite channel assignment scheme for high-speed data communications. This paper proposes an adaptive satellite-channel assignment scheme providing high-speed data communication services through satellite TDMA links, and also presents evaluation results of the proposed scheme performance through software simulation
