Abstract
Theory of constraint (TOC) concept is one of SilTerra (M) Sdn. Bhd. tools that helps to optimize utilization for whole operation process. It also facilitates the operation to run more efficient and best applied to expensive complex mass production processes like in wafer fabrication industries. The concept basically is to maximize utilization at the identified bottleneck tool. In Silterra Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. the customization rule is developed where required customer shipment date and factor to utilize the bottleneck tool are considered. The application is further designed to handle more complicated processes at difference tool in the FAB. This paper covers TOC concept, implementation process, dispatching rule design, and the improvement of the customer delivery cycle time through TOC deployment.
