Abstract
A new kind transmission line (TL) is presented. This TL is consisted in a hollow transverse rectangular metal cylinder loaded with a dielectric layer which partly covered with short circuit metal patch and a strip paralleled with it. The propagation characteristic is numerically analyzed. Both propagation constant curves and the numerical distribution of Ey and H2 are obtained for dominating mode and first and second high order modes through a simple 2D-FDTD scheme.
