Abstract :
The growth of the photonics industry and the demand for optical based devices is seen as catalyst for the development of the silicon sensor wafer fab. This fab will be established as a fully wafer fab manufacturing facilities. The project development stages include the initial proposal, manpower requirements, specifications, tender exercise, infrastructure build up, equipment start up, documentation, and the first pilot line run. The technical requirements of this project are mainly focusing on the customer´s requirement, in addition to the requirements on the process, equipment and the production throughput. Capital and operation cost will be produced beside the marketing and sales plan. Strategic partnership and contract manufacturing are initial sales and marketing effort. The first batch of 1000 wafers are expected to be out within 10 months.
