Abstract
The problem of radar resource management for tracking of a single target by multiple radars is addressed. The paper presents a management algorithm that minimizes the overall resource burden concerned with maintaining of required tracking performance. The problem is formulated as a two-step optimization process: the outer one is for sensor selection, and the inner one for the sensor parameter control. The proposed algorithm is different from the majority of multisensor management designs since it utilizes the agility of radar resource. Simulation results demonstrating the performance of the approach are presented.
