Abstract :
Principle and method of measuring the earth station antenna G/T are described simply using radio stars. Calculating formula of various correct factors are given. Operating frequency band performance of C-band 15 meter TT&C station antenna G/T are measured directly using Taurus A, and measuring results accord well with prediction. Finally, G/T measurement error is analyzed, the results show that max RMS error of G/T measurement is less than or equal to plusmn0.38 dB in operating frequency band.
