Abstract :
This paper introduces a software architecture for supporting CMIP management information bases of ATM switches. The architecture consists of three logical levels with specific functionality and data. It is able to support ATM switches with management capabilities conforming to existing standards, and is suitable for implementation. The architecture provides a basis for the development, evaluation, and evolution of software supporting CMIP management information bases of ATM switches
