Abstract :
During the aluminum reduction process, a mass of heat energy emanates into the air. In recent years, some research efforts have been focusing on how to efficaciously reclaim more of the heat energy during the aluminum reduction process. In this study, we propose a new aluminum reduction cell structure with a lava thermo-exchanger. Three-dimensional thermal field analysis was carried out on the novel aluminum reduction cell with the lava thermo-exchanger. Analytical results show that the novel aluminum reduction cell structure can satisfy the actual requirement of the aluminum reduction industry and at the same time, it also has a high heat recycling efficiency.
