Abstract :
A detail-preserving adaptive switching vector median filter is proposed in the paper. To improve the degree of accuracy of noise detection, scalar detection and vector detection is combined. Using switching vector median filter, filtering is used only if the pixel is noise during the scalar detecting. This method is computationally efficient and provides excellent balance between noise attenuation and detail preservation. Besides, the method ensures the original color.
