Research on the application of hazard assessment in emergency risk management

Hazard assessment as a scientific tool provides technology support for emergency management. This paper summarizes systematically the wide-applied foreign hazard risk assessment models, and analyzes their advantages and disadvantages from the angle of methods, application characters. At the same time, this paper provides a set of hazard assessment model that suits the Chinese reality, summarizes the hazard assessment experiences in Sino-German project, details the steps of hazard assessment, creates the target system of hazard assessment, and researches typical cases according to the practice of hazard assessment. The result of research shows: this model suits the Chinese reality with instructive meaning and practical value and is worth of being extended all over China.
