After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.

This paper makes analysis of the tools supported online collaborative learning mode, and support tools´ role in the online collaborative learning. According to the tool´s roles including interaction provider, resources sharing and independent learning environment, this paper has designed an instant messaging based online collaborative learning support tool.
