Abstract
Two antenna measurement systems allowing spherical far-field and planar near-field measurements were developed specifically to investigate small dielectric-loaded antennas because these measurement configurations allow the antenna under test to remain stationary with bore-sight vertical so that the dielectric lenses or pucks can be held in place by gravity. The paper describes the two systems and illustrates how they can be used to investigate novel dielectric antennas which are difficult to model theoretically
