  • Abstract
    This paper presents an AC-DC Cuk converter based on Three-State Switching Cell (3SSC). The main features of this converter are: reduced conduction losses on the controlled switches, magnetic components operating with the double of switching frequency, reducing weight and volume, reduced high-frequency output current ripple. A simple control strategy that can be implemented with well know integrated circuits. A theoretical analysis and the experimental results from a prototype 1 kW will be presented to validate the operation of the proposed converter.
