Abstract
Small-signal models of quasi-resonant (QR) power converters are obtained by using state-space averaging. The control-to-output transfer function and the audio susceptibility are easily obtained from these models. The frequency response derived from the theoretical model of a buck QR power converter with zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) is compared with experimental results. A good agreement is obtained, but the authors find that it is indispensable to include in the theoretical model the resistances due to the losses in the inductor and in the output capacitor
