Abstract :
This paper presents a Quadratic Boost converter associated to a passive lossless snubber to achieve soft-switching purpose without an extra switch and additional control circuit. The proposed converter has a high voltage gain, low switching losses and reduced electromagnetic interference (EMI). It will be presented operation stages, main waveforms, phase planes, static gain equation, graphics of duty cycle (D) and normalized characteristic load impedances versus output power, abacus of static gain versus duty cycle, experimental results and efficiency curve of the implemented 800 W lab prototype.
