Abstract :
This paper studies the non-blocking condition of a proposed photonic switching network which adopts wavelength division multiplexing (WDM). It is a continuation of our previous study in which we developed the non-blocking condition of the generalized parallel delta network (GPDN) proposed for ATM switching. We consider a case where the transmission/switching speed is a discrete integer and reform the previous results to reflect the discreteness. Then, we apply the GPDN as a non-blocking WDM photonic switching network and analyzes its cost and performance
