Abstract
The work intends to obtain the balanced singular perturbation approximation (BSPA) of any LTI system. The Matlab based computational difficulties for obtaining balanced realized minimal order model of the system necessary for preservation of DC gain of non-minimal systems have been also investigated. The BSPA based model reduction approach is well extended to frequency weighted H2/H∞ controller reduction.
