Abstract :
The contribution outlines the history of interference immunity testing in the restricted field of neutron flux instruments. It compares and contrasts the tests that evolved with the generic immunity test procedures being produced for the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). After mentioning what is being done to formalise a product standard in this field (in the IEC), the authors offer suggestions in the interests of trade and the improved safety standards that everyone wants in the nuclear industry
