Abstract :
This paper describes the development of human-computer interfaces for remote weapon operators through the use of distributed aircraft, weapon and sensor simulations, and real-time sensor-asset management algorithms. The aim is to evaluate operator performance through the simulation of complex multi-platform engagements; including conventional aircraft, uninhabited air vehicles and loitering weapon systems. The paper describes the distributed simulation, the sensor-asset allocation algorithms and the remote operator interface.
