Abstract :
This work presents the THD analysis of the modulation technique previously described in [1]. The proposed technique showed an improvement in the power quality, reducing the total harmonic distortion in flying capacitor multilevel inverters, combining the advantages of two modulation techniques: HE-PWM and CSV-PWM. In order to validate the study, experimental results have been included concerning the three-level 6 kW, 0.92 power factor FC inverter. The experimental results presented a line voltage THD around 42.09% for M.I. = 0.8 and 81.05% for M.I. = 0.3.
