  • Abstract
An efficient online hand-drawn line-figure recognition method called the adjacent strokes structure analysis method (ASSAM) is described. ASSAM is interactive, using adjacent-stroke features and is independent of how the figures are drawn. Several recognition experiments for hand-drawn line-figures confirm that ASSAM has a high recognition rate. This work also describes an integrated system using ASSAM, an online handwritten character-recognition method and an online text/figure editing method by handwritten instructions
