Abstract :
With the use of microcell to manage high call density in cellular mobile communication systems, the number of handover requests becomes larger, thus the handover algorithms should respond faster at the appropriate positions for efficient information transfer. In this present work, the signal strength at mobile station is estimated using least square method. In a Rayleigh fading environment. A fuzzy logic based handover algorithm is then proposed which shows satisfactory response at the desired locations.
