Abstract :
Practical work is described to test two approaches devised for avoiding risks of ignition during mechanical mixing, in flammable atmospheres, of materials which easily become highly charged. The approaches are: first, changes to the sequence of production operations to segregate periods of high static charge generation from the time when flammable atmospheres are present; second, use of additives to modify the charge decay rates of critical materials
